Reflections - Takin' it to the Streets
God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all.
1 John 1:5
The Light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can
never extinguish it.
John 1:5
God sent John the Baptist to tell everyone about the light so
that everyone might believe because of his testimony. John
himself was not the light; he was only a witness to the light.
The One who is the true light, Who gives light to everyone,
was going to come into the world.
John 1:6-9
Also read:
Matthew 5:14-16
Luke 1:77-79
2 Corinthians 4:5-6
Isaiah 60:1-3
Ephesians 5:1-14
Whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away
…18 And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be
mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as
the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and
more like Him and reflect His glory even more.
2 Corinthians 3:16 &18
Make sure that the light you think you have is not really
darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners,
then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight
is shining on you."
Luke 11:35-36
What kind of reflection of Christ are you?
So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly
accept the message God has planted in your hearts, for it is
strong enough to save your souls. And remember, it is a
message to obey, not just to listen to. If you don't obey, you
are only fooling yourself. For if you just listen and don't
obey, it is like looking at your face in a mirror but doing
nothing to improve your appearance. You see yourself, walk
away, and forget what you look like. But if you keep looking
steadily into God's perfect law — the law that sets you free —
and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard,
then God will bless you for doing it.
James 1:21-25
The Real Jesus Might Surprise You
Follow God's example in everything you do, because you are his
dear children. Live a life filled with love for others,
following the example of Christ, who loved you and gave
Himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins.
Ephesians 5:1-2
For though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are
full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it!
For this light within you produces only what is good and right
and true.
Ephesians 5:8-9
Do not compromise being a true reflection of Christ.
Take the Love of Christ to the Streets.
