How Much Do You WANT It?
The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.
My (God’s) purpose is to give life in all its fullness.
John 10:10
Followers Fast - Jesus assumes we
will fast
Fasting helps us redirect our appetites
from physical thing to Spiritual things.
The stomach represents our appetites
and desires.
Mazlow’s hierarchy of needs says
“Man’s basic needs are
food and water”
“I am the Bread of Life.”
“I am the
Living Water”
Jesus
We redirect our appetites from that
things that substance life to the SOURCE
of life!
Take delight in the LORD, and He will
give you your heart's desires.
Psalm 37:4
When our wants and His desires for us
sync up:
-
We discover God’s perspective on
issues and things in our lives.
-
We unleash the power of God.
-
Also we are going to have
blessings and break-throughs.
Jesus knew that certain power can only
be released when we fast.
(Matthew 17:21)
"So don't worry about having enough food
or drink or clothing. Why be like the
pagans who are so deeply concerned about
these things? Your heavenly Father
already knows all your needs, and He
will give you all you need from day to
day if you live for Him and make the
Kingdom of God your primary concern.
Matthew 6:31-33
That is what the Scriptures mean when
they say, "No eye has seen, no ear has
heard, and no mind has imagined what God
has prepared for those who love Him."
1 Corinthians 2:9
The stomach represents our desires:
Adam and Eve (Genesis 3)
They ate themselves out of God’s plan
and provision!
Esau (Genesis 25)
His stomach caused him to throw away the
blessings and the birthright that was
given to him.
The Children of Israel (Numbers 11)
They ate themselves out of the promised
land.
DO YOU SEE THE PATTERN?
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst
for righteousness, for they will be
filled.
Matthew 5:6 NIV
'People need more than bread for their life; they must feed on every Word
of God.'
Matthew 4:4
Do what you ought to do;
so that you can do what you want to do!
Fast and pray and allow God to
take you
to the Next Level!
In the morning, O LORD, You hear my
voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before
You
and wait in expectation.
Psalm 5:3 NIV
