MAGNETIC
IT’S KINDA LIKE A MAGNET…
FEELING THE SLIGHTEST PULL…
Yet God has made everything beautiful
for its own time. He has planted
eternity in the human heart, but even
so, people cannot see the whole scope of
God’s work from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11

JUSTICE // fixing broken things
-
SPIRITUALITY // our built-in thirst
-
RELATIONSHIPS // “made for each other”
-
BEAUTY // an incomplete picture
A MAGNET AROUND METAL…
Then Jesus went out to the lakeshore
again and taught the crowds that were
coming to him. As he walked along, he
saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his
tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be
my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi
got up and followed him. Later, Levi
invited Jesus and his disciples to his
home as dinner guests, along with many
tax collectors and other disreputable
sinners. (There were many people of this
kind among Jesus’ followers.) But when
the teachers of religious law who were
Pharisees saw him eating with tax
collectors and other sinners, they asked
his disciples, “Why does he eat with
such scum?” When Jesus heard this, he
told them, “Healthy people don’t need a
doctor—sick people do. I have come to
call not those who think they are
righteous, but those who know they are
sinners”

Magnetic ATTRACTION
As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his

Magnetic REPULSION
But when the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees saw
him eating with tax collectors and other sinners, they asked
his disciples, “Why does he eat with such scum?”

MAGNETIC LIVING…
“… you will be my witnesses, telling people about me
everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to
the ends of the earth”
Acts 1:8
You?
My witnesses, tell people?
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see,
so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father
Matthew 5:16
