The Last Back to School Picture
1 John 3:1-2
Speaker Pepper Pratt
Our pastor (Paul Riddle) is traveling with the Student
ministry this morning. Our guest speaker this morning is his
long time friend Pepper Pratt. Pepper Pratt is a licensed
professional counselor here in Jackson and sees families,
couples and individuals in Biblically based professional
counseling. He has also served bi-vocationally as a pastor and
youth pastor in the area since 1986. He is also adjunct
professor of Psychology and Youth Ministry at Union
University. Pepper is married to Karen and has two sons—a
junior at Union and a senior at TCA.
Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not
acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid
food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained
themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Hebrews 5:13-14
Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual
should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may
be tempted. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you
will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks he is
something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Each one
should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in
himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, for each
one should carry his own load.
Galatians 6:1-5
