1. A neighbor that is near is Better than a brother far off.

Proverbs 27:10

Never abandon a friend—either yours or your father's. When disaster strikes, you won't have to ask your brother for assistance. It's better to go to a neighbor than to a brother who lives far away.

2. An open rebuke is Better than secret love.

Proverbs 27:5-6

An open rebuke is better than hidden love! Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.

3. It is Better to have a humble spirit.

Proverbs 16:19

Better to live humbly with the poor than to share plunder with the proud.

Proverbs 12:9

Better to be an ordinary person with a servant than to be self-important but have no food.

4. It is Better to be unacknowledged than to be embarrassed.

Proverbs 25:6-7

Don't demand an audience with the king or push for a place among the great. It's better to wait for an invitation to the head table than to be sent away in public disgrace.

Luke 14:7-11

5. Having character is Better than having strength.

Proverbs 16:32

Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city.

6. It is Better to have a good name than great riches.

Proverbs 22:1

Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold.

7. It is Better to be poor and honest than rich and crooked.

Proverbs 19:1

Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and a fool.

Proverbs 16:8

Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest.

8. Wisdom is Better than riches.

Proverbs 3:13-14

Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold.

Proverbs 16:16

How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver!

9. This is Better than that.

Proverbs 21:9

It's better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.

Proverbs 21:19

It's better to live alone in the desert than with a quarrelsome, complaining wife.

Proverbs 25:24

It's better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.

9. Better is little with peace than much with trouble.

Proverbs 17:1

Better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with fasting—and conflict.

Proverbs 15:16-17

Better to have little, with fear for the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil. A bowl of vegetables with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate.

1 Timothy 6:6-7

True godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.

10. Better To give your life to following than to try to hold on to it for yourself.

Mark 8:34-37

"If any of you wants to be My follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow Me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for My sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?
